Feb. 17th, Wensday.
Very cold last night. Clear and very cold today. Issued one day soft
bread. Went to the brigade headquarters and to the regiment. Received a
letter from Mag. Answered it at night. Received two papers also. Supply
train went to the station.
18th, Thursday.
Clear but cold in the morning but very pleasant in the afternoon. Issued
two days rations. Supply train went to the station got two days soft bread
and a barrel of corn meal. The first that has been in the department
in sixteen months.
