Sept 9th Wensday weather is very pleasant today Some artillery firing this morning. Concert in town in town tonight received a letter from Aunt Mary and one from Clarkson Leane Lieut Bradford received a dispatch that his wife was in a dying condition. he applied for a leave of absence and it was granted.
lOth Thursday Lieut Bradford started for home to day. Cloudy but no rain. at night went over to the company there has been some artillery firing today. Wrote to Clark Leane
