very clear and warm today The balloon went up to near the first regiment There was a steeple[?] chase near Falmouth today There was horse racing, climbing greased polls catching shaved and greased pigs and other games The Staff officers of this brigade were invited Charles Beash came back last night – i saw him today furlough stopped today
28th Saturday
It rained quite steady all day Business dull Walter Murphey came back today – he had been on furlough
