8th Sunday
It is clear and warm today. it is more like spring than winter. did not have anything to do today. DO not sell any thing on some days. In the afternoon went over to the company the wagon train went to the landing today and brought fresh bread.
9th Monday
very nice weather but a little colder than it was yesterday had plenty to do today. dried apples onions was issued to the brigade today. Traded my revolver for a watch wrote a letter to uncle Sam got a letter and bottle of peppermint and paper from mother.
