Issued two days of light rations and one of pork. General Meades headquarters are near us. Warrenton is a very nice place but it is a regualar secesh place. the inhabitants will take confederate money before they will greenbacks there is some very nice places in the tow~ but there is a good many deserted houses which give it a bad look to the place. Between eight and nine oclock at night there come up the hardest shower that I ever saw in Virginia. The wind blew awful hard.
